Series 4 Episode 4 is the 160th episode of The Tribe.

Synopsis[]

While Jack is marvelling at the technology in the Technos' communicator, Ved is chastised by both Jay and Ram for losing it. Returning from a reconnaissance mission, Pride tells Salene there are far fewer Technos than people think and the kids in the city out number them significantly. While nursing her crush on Pride, Cloe thanks Lex for noticing she's grown up.

Amber and Trudy find shelter, but no food, inside an abandoned house. Ellie apologises to Jack for making him come back to the mall. Salene wants to hold a ceremony to remember their missing friends but Ellie hates the idea, not wanting to give up hope of seeing their friends again. Cloe's jealousy manifests itself when she refuses to help Salene look after the kids only to then agree when Pride asks her nicely.

Amber tells Trudy she has decided not to go back to the mall but instead wants to rejoin the Eco tribe. Trudy doesn't like the idea but Amber wants to go where she and the baby will be safe. Jack informs Ebony that if they can disable the Technos' cell tower, they can cripple their communications. Jack says good-bye to Ellie before going with Ebony and leaves her his lucky whistle. However, Ram is tracking the communicator and as Jack and Ebony approach the cell tower, the Technos capture Jack as Ebony looks on from a distance.

Trivia[]

  • Jack temporarily exits the show. He is not seen again until Series 5 Episode 4.
  • Dee does not appear in this episode.
  • The copy of Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers' from Series 2 Episode 16 is seen in the house where Amber and Trudy temporarily stay in.
  • Pictures of Amber, May, Alice, Ryan and Tai San are shown at the Mall Rat remembrance ceremony conducted by Salene. But strangely not all the missing Mall Rats's pictures are present. Pictures of Bray, KC, Luke, Andy and Tally are not shown for some reason. Although it's possible there were no pictures of the last three taken as they were not Mall Rats for very long before their capture by the Technos.

Errors[]

  • Strangely, the Director and Screenplay for the episode is not credited at all. It remains unknown who did these roles for this episode.
  • Cloe has facial markings below her mouth when she is going to see Lex, but it disappears once she enters his room. The markings reappear at the remembrance ceremony.
